Last May of 2014 the Magazine Vinos y Restaurantes (www.revistavinosyrestaurantes.com) published an article speaking very well about La Loba, here you have it…
La Loba, an intense tempranillo and with character
Ann Carazo (oenologist, winemarker, and since better it is she who is defined … liquor dealer), he was sure from very young that wanted to do wine. Its familiar precedents were decisive: a grandfather vine grower, with whom it was spending hours in the vineyard, and a family dedicated to the wine, they did that he was deciding to form so that the project of La Loba is today a reality.
A centenary vineyard and prefiloxérico in its majority distributed in smallholdings, all of the variety tempranillo, placed in Matanza de Soria, inside the DO Ribera del Duero … all this does that the only and different fruit is obtained to be able to enjoy a powerful, concentrated, intense wine, with character marked by a living and balanced tannin, elegant structure that it wraps in an agreeable and fresh oiliness.
Both the name and the tag surprise and have one why. On the one hand the name of La Loba that marks the force, the character, the propulsion and the valor; on the other hand, the drawing of the grandmother who transmits tenderness, balance and simplicity. This union is the merger of two grandmothers of the liquor dealer, which ones were two very important figures in its life and it reflects what then we are going to be in the wine.
It is necessary to notice the design of the tag, since it has been the special and only work realized by a big artist Santos de Veracruz.
From La Loba they are sure that … “it is necessary to believe it to see it and especially to drink it”.
